Director of Marketing
Nekasha (pronounced "Ne-kee-sha") Pratt is a versatile marketer with more than 15 years of experience. She leverages her background in social media, digital, advertising, and technology to create and execute marketing and branding initiatives. Throughout her career, Nekasha has spearheaded national and international promotional campaigns and has worked in industries such as financial services, tourism, manufacturing, insurance, and consumer goods. Campaigns she’s helped lead have won Webby, Clio, and Addy creative awards and three international Cannes Lions awards.

Nekasha is currently Director of Marketing for the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development. In this role she assists in planning and executing marketing campaigns which promote Tennessee tourism, an industry that generated $1.8 billion in tax revenue in 2017. Nekasha previously served as Director of Marketing & Donor Relations for the National Museum of African American Music, leading the organization’s re-branding and helping complete their groundbreaking ceremony.

While committed to professional excellence, she is also dedicated to giving back to her community. Nekasha is a Board Director for Nashville Cable, a women’s professional development organization, and serves on the review committee for the US Civil Rights Trail. She has been a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters for three years, is a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, on the Diversity & Inclusion Committee for The Government Social Media Conference, and involved with Women of Color in Communications; among other volunteer activities.

Nekasha’s recent professional awards included the 2019 Nashville Women of Influence Award, the 2018 Nashville Business Journal Top 40 under 40 Award, and the 2018 Nashville Emerging Leader Award. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Management / Marketing, is a globally certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and in 2016 earned a “Foundations in 21st Century Leadership” certificate through Nashville Cable's Executive Leadership Academy at Lipscomb University.
